Launched on 15^th August 2005, it runs emergency ambulance services in 9 states, planning to expand to 11 states. It is a pro-poor, Public Private Not-for-Profit Partnership to Provide Emergency Response Services at rupees one / Citizen / Month. Till date it has covered 372 M population in 9 States, with 2600 ambulances and 38,574 trained people.
